The Black, United and Proud of Our Heritage Program
Here in The B.U.P.H. Program family, we feel it is very important for our beautiful black and brown young people to feel a strong sense of self-pride – pride in their culture; pride in their heritage; and pride in the strength and survival of the difficult journey that the color of their skin represents.
We at The B.U.P.H. Program also want our young people to look at learning as a positive thing, and not as an unpleasant obligation. So, all in all, we seek to make learning and having self-pride fun and enjoyable. We aim to do this through fun activities such as Dance, Arts and Crafts and Fun, Educational Trips.
Mission Statement
A strong sense of self-pride is important, because we live in a racist society. So, we must make our beautiful black and brown young people so proud of who they are, so proud of the skin they’re in, and instill so much self-pride in them, that racism will have NO ADVERSE EFFECT on the way they see themselves.
